Get an energy monitor from the Beaverton City Library

Kill A Watt, conserve some energy and save some green!

Energy Trust of Oregon has teamed up with local libraries to offer a Kill A Watt energy monitor to check out just like a book. This is an easy way to measure just how much energy your appliances and electronics use.

You will probably be very surprised with the results!

The monitors come with instructions and advice on how to apply what you learn to start conserving energy.

So head down to the Beaverton City library and start killing those watts today!

Our Green Washington County

Learn about "green" things going on in Washington County.

Partners for a Sustainable Washington County is teaching a PCC Community Ed class on Wednesday nights this fall called "Our Green Washington County". This will be a sustainability education course with in-class discussion and site visits to Partner locations (like Beaverton's Central Plant!) This is your chance to learn more about the scientific basis beyond sustainability and see how things are being implemented around the county. We're excited for this course. For more information on the curriculum and to register, see the link below. Feel free to spread the word to others that might be interested!
